Journal and Blog Editors. Coming soon. We need savvy folks to screen article submissions, make decisions about what to publish, and guide the content through the editorial and publishing process.
Future Plans & Needs
More to follow...
- Some system-savvy folks who want to work on our platform and systems as power users, bringing together the content, team, process, and tech.
- Social media whisperers.
- And more!
We had a great response to our first ask (below). We have a team started. It's not full, there's more room here and with upcoming needs, and news 2.0 is not far down the road. We've still got some follow ups to do with people who reached out.
News Publishing Assistants. SWJ is seeking a few motivated volunteers/interns to address an immediate production need. Our stop-gap solution is to repurpose a news feed that Dave Maxwell creates for a different distribution. It takes an estimated 30 to 40 minutes to recraft and post his stuff from his current output to something that works for an SWJ Blog post. We're looking for a couple of folks who are willing to share the burden of cranking that out daily. Beyond that, bonus points for you and us if you're a newshound with a bit of tech savvy and interested in helping improve what we deliver over the long run. What we present to our audience and how we produce it will change over time. Help us deliver it and improve it.
